This is a fantastic opportunity for the bride on a budget or for anyone who enjoys crafting.  80% off is a remarkable deal and our staff are prepared to work with anyone willing to purchase in bulk. The wedding section will no longer be available after February 28th so this is your last opportunity to shop the department.

There are one dozen unique boxes to share with you!
Many of our Outlet customers have asked to purchase these after seeing them in company blogs and various magazines this winter.  They are priced at the retail level because they are a limited edition new item.

Necklace by Purple Lace Designs – Lena Gillespie using the Ma Vie en Rose mixed bead box. Named after a movie of same title, this color palette exudes a little girl’s world that is imaginative and filled with princess tales. Pink and fuchsia are colors that praise pure love, nurturing and affection.

Earrings by Purple Lace Designs – Lena Gillespie using the Santorini Coast Mixed Bead Box.
“The Greek island located at the Aegean Sea was the inspiration for this mix. The different shades of blue reflect the different colors of its sea and the architectural features of its unique buildings.”

Necklace by Purple Lace Designs – Lena Gillespie using the Topaz Pizzazz Mixed Bead Box.
“In this little treasure box filled with topaz and copper beads you can find shades of fall. Perfect to inspire accessories to spotlight neutral colors like ivory as well as rich chocolate brown garments.”

Nancy will show you several unique examples of how she turned a plain heart shaped box into a sweet keepsake.
Everyone attending the event will receive two boxes.

Some boxes will be shown for inspiration (you will not be making them) and several will be Make and Take projects with the materials provided.

We seat participants in the order in which they arrive at the store and sign in.

Sometimes you need to create something whimsical to wear during our long winter.

I have had this wooden doll for years.  For some reason I am attached to it, so I drilled a hole through it and made it a wearable component.

Everything you need to make the necklace is in the Outlet.  I particularly love the Butterfly pendant bails (not always in stock) and the Faux Suede tassels.

The Global Chic Woven Cotton Tapestry Cord is a fabulous way to create fiber jewelry quickly.

Learn about the inspiration behind Global Chic

The desire to explore distant lands and to experience cultural diversity is the inspiration for our product line called Global Chic.

Many of us want to feed our adventurous spirit. We want to stay connected to our urban reality without losing a sense of ethnic authenticity.

Instant online communication and visual sharing allows people to feel like they belong anywhere in the world. People discover that citizens from different nations appreciate similar colors, flavors and aesthetics.

Creative Directors and head designers from the main French and Italian fashion houses are taking inspirations from a variety of cultural groups and lands to create patchwork designs. Unswept landscapes are the background for vibrant browns, olives, oranges and yellows. Floral landscapes and natural backdrops are creating expansive views of the world we live in.

Old world tapestry has been reintroduced in fashion with substantive decorative embroidering as seen on long ponchos, dresses, bracelets and leather goods. Soft leather, gold hardware, multi colored beads, tassels and fringe highlight the goddess, gladiator and soldier attitude. Cultural prints, feathers and First Nations looks are being highlighted by American fashion brands like Ralph Lauren and Diane Von Furstenberg.

For John Bead, this urban tribal trend has been translated into a range of products, which are easy to wear, organic, sensuous, colorful and modern. This juxtaposition of ideas and diversity is what we believe will inspire designers and hobbyists to create wearable art.
