I have a lovely, and might I add inexpensive, new ornament idea to share with you.

It started as this wired heart in the clearance section of the Outlet.  Would you believe this is also 80% off?  My heart form cost roughly $1.  FYI – There are only a few left in the store.

I keep a bag of left over beads from all my projects.  The bag has some gorgeous beads.  This was an opportunity to use a lot of my favorites.

Over a few evenings, I happily used wire to add beads throughout.  The heart looks beautiful hung with a ribbon in a window.

Lately I have been noticing fiber wrapping on jewelry components.  Embroidery thread is the ideal wrapping material because it is quite thick if you do not separate the individual threads it is made from.

We sell embroidery thread in multi packs in the Outlet so I was looking for a unique way to use it.  I decided to upcycle this 70’s style earring component.

I simply wrapped my threads in interesting color blocks.  I was careful to make sure that my knots were all at the back.  An embroidery needle made passing the thread through the opening go even quicker.

I took a photocopy of my finished peices so I would have a paper template.  I then used the template to cut some felt to use as a lining.

I glued the felt to the back and now it looks nicely finished!

If you enjoy creating your own one of a kind jewelry, you will definitely love the Klik interchangeable jewelry collection in the Outlet.

For this project I gathered interesting shapes and some diamondback crystals.  Since these items are being embedded into the clay it was important to have something that could be pushed into into place.

All the Klik components are in the store along with this air drying epoxy clay (also known as resin clay).  The bezel blanks are a personal favorite.

After filling my klik bezel blanks with clay I simply played with the placement of my beads.

My bigger blank was fun to fill!  I brushed some black pearl-ex powder over the all the exposed clay and let everything air dry for 24 hours.  Then I just brushed away any excess powder.

The necklace component has room for one large and two small bezel blanks.

My small bezels have a different design.  They can also be set into the interchangeable klik earrings.

Imagine all the possibilities!
